Come join our Singapore Software Development Centre as part of the Simulation team as a Software Engineer. You will be working on the world’s leading payment solutions and enjoying our world-class facilities, excellent working environment at the best place Singapore has to offer, the Central Business District. This position entails project management, responsibility for team deliveries, and also personal deliveries (including software development). The Software engineer is expected to be highly competent technically and domain-wise, a respected thought leader in his/her specialty, and a role model for junior members of the team.

Develop highly available, testable, scalable, monitor-able components using primarily Java:

  • 3-10 years programming experience primarily in Java. A solid foundation in common design patterns, algorithms and data structure
  • Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, monitor and resolve production issues.
  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
  • Experience with Spring framework experience
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Aerospike, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
  • Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ
  • Good understanding of Agile methodology, software engineering best practice, capable of working in a globally distributed development team
  • Good communication skills. Fluency in English, both written and oral.

    • Experience with Big Data Ecosystem
    • Proficient with Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, HDFS
    • Proficient with Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala
    • Experience with additional languages like Python, Javascript and Scala
