You will be responsible for working with a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of a range of products on enterprise platforms. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, deep understanding of software engineering, excellent project execution skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

Risk Engineering team is responsible for Risk decision, fraud detection, risk management decision and compute platform services across PayPal - globally. We design, develop, enhance and support services that get called across every interaction between PayPal and its users and partners. Our solutions need to scale across millions of such interactions, working with petabyte plus data, integrating with various other APIs in real time and yet providing high availability to the business. To achieve this, we are always looking at advances in technology and science and tying those back to business needs.

Requirements :

• 
  
  5-8 years of hands-on experience working on production systems
  
  
• 
  
  Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, software design and architecture
  
  
• 
  
  Good understanding of application development using Java technologies like Spring, JUINT, TestNG, etc.
  
  
• 
  
  Knowledge of Java internals and System level design
  
  
• 
  
  Experience developing and extending modern build-chain tools, such as Maven, Jenkins, Git
  
  
• 
  
  Knowledge of modern distributed system design and implementation
  
  
• 
  
  Proficiency with Linux, virtual machines, and open-source tools/platforms
  
  
• 
  
  Sound knowledge of SQL & No-SQL databases
  
  
• 
  
  Strong understanding and working knowledge of networking principles
  
  
• 
  
  Experience with performance tuning in production environment
  
  
•
