PayPal's consumer onboarding team is looking for a Software QA engineer in Bangalore to work on our next generation unified onboarding stack. We want people who demonstrates thought leadership, great execution skills and a passion for delivering superior user experiences. As a member of the team, you will directly work with the product owners and designers to create outstanding solutions and deliver incredible products.

We are looking for a Software QA engineer, who has a passion for developing massively scalable, distributed software systems that require high availability to support mission-critical business tasks. Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer in Quality will be responsible for developing test automation infrastructure and framework for consumer onboarding web applications. You will work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and experimentations are a given. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Create infrastructure, write and lead the engineering team in writing the test automation
  • Own and develop testing tools and strategies
  • Lead and hold other engineers accountable for technical quality measurements
  • Build and maintain CI Jobs
  • Find and introduce new ways of code scrutiny such as cloud testing, dynamic and static code analysis
  • Define, measure and report on coverage metrics and test objectives
  • Set up and Support environments for testing
  • Work closely with design & product to craft great product experiences

Requirements:

  • Proficient in writing scalable & maintainable code with Selenium Webdriver or corresponding UI automation technologies as well as Rest APIs. Familiarity with Nemo and mocha framework is a plus.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Java and HTML5  
  • Experience in version control concepts and tools for release management
  • Experience in development best practices including agile processes, testing methodologies and continuous integration
  • Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • 6+ years of software design and web application development 
  • BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science
