About the team

PayPal’s GRDS (Global Risk & Data Sciences) organization is in charge of implementing unique, best-of-breed fraud-detection algorithms using cutting-edge technologies, and delivering solutions, which are highly available, scalable, distributed, and process data at web scale. Our solutions are integrated into the company’s back-end systems, handling tens of millions of events daily & processing billions of dollars annually.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead E2E test activities from research till production, for solutions which process billions of records over a massive Data Warehouse Using SQL, Java and Big Data technologies.
  • Design and perform test plans for testing data calculations and transformations based on product requirements and insure data quality and coverage.
  • Work with our automation tools, build new automatic test suites for progression & regression tests
  • Define test requirements for improving our system testability.
  • Work in agile bunch, collaborating with developers and data scientist


  • B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in software QA group.
  • Java or Python automation development experience
  • Experience in writing and executing test plans for data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS (Oracle, SQL, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux.
  • Experience with scripting language programming (e.g. Perl, Shell, python, etc.) - advantage
