A typical day for the Senior Manager, Local Marketing & Partnerships will include:

• Leading local marketing communication and partnerships for PayPal Northern Central
Europe, including Scandinavia, Belgium/Netherlands, Ireland and Central Eastern Europe.
• Managing the team, you will develop the co-marketing strategy and cultivate relationships with the largest partners in the region, and oversee the execution of campaigns from start to finish.
• Briefing and working closely with our creative and media agencies to build and launch campaigns.
• Responsibility for the programs targeting millions of our active consumers, increasing their engagement levels. You will own and pitch your campaign and partnership proposals internally as well as externally, including campaign budgets and target results.

What does Success Look Like?  

  • The position sits within the Marketing Team for Continental Europe, Middle East Africa, and works closely with sales/account management teams, Business Development, Sales, PR, Brand, Product, and Analytics.
  • You will work directly with our key merchant partners to negotiate and launch co-branded campaigns with the objective of acquiring new PayPal consumers, engaging existing users and enhancing the brand image.
  • You will manage and support a small team in order to build the best offers for consumers, engaging internal teams, leveraging available tools at best, identifying the right target groups as needed, and negotiating with online retailers or service providers.
  • You will work closely with creative, media and digital agencies in order to generate, develop and launch campaigns which will drive brand comprehension, value proposition and customer lifecycle
  • You will give feedback and insights to other Marketing teams and departments on any of the projects that target NCE (Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Scandinavia, Central/Eastern Europe) including CRM or Brand, ensuring that they are culturally relevant and respect the PayPal tone of voice and design guidelines.
  • You will drive local insights in terms of value proposition, ecommerce landscape and/or marketing channels.
  • You will work with the marketing leads on the annual marketing plan for the region.
