We ship, iterate and learn from our users. What does it mean to be a Senior Visual/Brand Designer at Venmo? To you, there's nothing more addictive than solving problems, making things that matter and then showing them to people. You’ll work on a team of creatives responsible for evolving our visual identity and producing high-quality digital and print designs and illustrations that convey the personality and experience of Venmo. This is the right role for someone who loves to think about turning a brand’s concept into visually striking designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside our Product, Marketing and Engineering teams to understand, create and schedule design deliverables, discuss effective and creative solutions and ensure brand consistency and high standards of creative execution for the development of visual materials.  You’ll be responsible for project intake, execution and delivery.
  • Scope of work includes but is not limited to: digital design including Twitter and Instagram display ads, emails, gifs, animations and social media graphics, packaging and print collateral and branding and logo design. We’re a company of multi-taskers and jugglers - so make no mistake, there will be surprises.
  • Push the brand identity forward while maintaining Venmo design standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a marketing, brand or visual design-related field at a design/interactive agency and/or an in-house team.
  • Demonstrable skills with the usual suspects: Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.
  • Confident and strong verbal and written communication skills that allow you to effortlessly convey complex concepts effectively to a range of techies and non-techies.
  • A rock-solid understanding of visual design fundamentals and how to execute them.
  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working solo or collaboratively on part of a larger project.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and fluid environment, handling a variety of assignments with occasionally tight deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript (have worked with Braze, Localytics, etc. platforms).
  • Video production/editing/ motion graphics.
  • Digital product design/UX/ interaction design.
  • Typography and logo design.
