As a member of the Global Design & Research team at PayPal, we create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences through a deep understanding of our customers and exceptional design. In partnership with Product and Engineering teams, we are building the next generation of financial services products. The User Experience Research team crafts and delivers impactful research that guides product design work and helps shape the product experience by bringing the voice of the customer to the forefront in everything we do.

You are an experienced research professional with a passion for creative and dynamic insights that help teams build better products that ship. You will have a proven track record of shaping and delivering a wide range of research projects and working across the product lifecycle with multiple stakeholders, and be comfortable with both traditional and new approaches in recruitment, methodology and reporting. Usability, eye tracking, in-homes, contextual inquiry, evaluative or generative… whatever the method, you are at heart a deep and insightful thinker who brings a fresh perspective and strong point of view to your work. You will be a engaging presenter, communicator and influencer, with an understanding of the bigger picture, that taps into consumer, product, and business needs and delivers value through strong, clear, visual outputs and deliverables. Ultimately, you are driven to be an influential partner in helping PayPal deliver on its vision to make compelling and meaningful financial product experiences for all.

This research position focuses on the APAC region.  Working with your partners, you will have full responsibility for defining and delivering the region’s user experience research roadmap and running the creative and compelling research studies that from it. You will be excited to enagage and evalgelise the role and impact of research with this awesome team, and be motivated to engage with the wider research practice at PayPal. Working relationships with vendors in the region is a plus. 

Additionally, experience of moving from research data, to insight, fostering strategic long term thinking, and the ability to prioritize will be valuable assets.

This role is based in Bangalore, but you should also be comfortable working closely with other teammates in San Jose and beyond, and open to travel regionally and internationally if projects require it. The position reports to the Director of UX Research – Consumer based in San Jose.
