PayPal's Regulatory Platform Team is looking for expert JavaScript engineers to help build applications and web services that support compliance for PayPal holdings and their subsidiaries. As a member of the team, you will help us develop product solutions and deliver features that power the next generation of compliance applications. You will be involved from ideation to rollout. We are always looking for strong technologists who are passionate to solve large scale highly complex computer engineering problems, in a repeatable and maintainable way. You will build strong competencies in data structures and algorithms, along with a technical fascination for how everything ties together. Responsibilities include: - Build scalable, highly reliable product features - Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to resolve ambiguity in requirements - Apply problem solving and analytical skills to variety of issues - Interact with cross functional teams to produce win-win solutions - Estimate engineering effort and come up with realistic schedules - Identify and resolve complex production issues - Document best practices and help create knowledge base - Excellent communication and relationship skills. Ability to understand and articulate both technical and business issues with peers, management, and external teams.

Required Skills
  - BS/MS degree, preferably in a Computer Science or related field.
  - 8+ years of working experience in software development
  - A deep familiarity with javaScript and server side javaScript framework such as NodeJS
  - Experience with client side javaScript framework such as (React, Redux, Angular, Ember, Underscore, etc.)
  - Expert in Java language development of RESTful APIs
  - Solid understanding of the full development life cycle
  - Passion for designing and engineering rich user interfaces
  - Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance

  - Experience with web front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap

  - Hands-on knowledge of version control systems such as GIT
  - Ability to think logically, diagnose/triage
  - Driven to execute and follow through
