Seeking a highly motivated experienced Release Engineer who is process oriented, team player with excellent communication skills. The Release engineer will support the Dev and QE engineers within GlobalOps, Risk and Compliance groups delivering software/config changes to Production. The Release engineer is responsible to provide framework/oversight/governance of the software delivery process and deploying the changes to Production ensuring timely delivery with quality enabling predictable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ year of experience working as a Release Engineer with expertise on linux and Windows based deployments, automation and process standardization. The candidate should have strong Linux, shell scripting skills with experience on troubleshooting deployment issues:


 - Provide guidance to the Release engineers on the processes. Drive standardization and DevOps maturity.

 - Champion the change to improve the overall release quality

 - Define and facilitate software delivery best practice and provide governance influencing release quality
 - Provide transparency into the release artifacts establishing clear expectations with the stakeholders

 - Identify and implement process improvements in systems management and in the development process
 - Establish reusable standard delivery plans
 - Establish and enforce change validation to minimize/eliminate surprises
 - Responsible for the source code change management and branching (Release build management)
 - Responsible for cross pollinating changes/best practices across like applications
 - Refines the process to prevent recurrence of issues identified during deployment/release delivery process.
 - Report on the pre-release quality and secure approvals prior to install.
 - Takes the necessary steps to adjust/refine the processes based on the encountered issues improving the overall quality and delivery.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Experience on deploying Pega PRPC application is a plus.
 - Demonstrated strength on documentation to drive process consistency
 - Experience on Shell scripting is a plus
 - Experience working on Nexus, GitHub or similar change management utilities

 - Experience deploying within IIS/Windows environments
 - Working knowledge on Fusion, GIT, Turboroller, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet desired
 - Familiarity deploying applications on WebLogic
