This is a great time to join the PayPal Scandinavian team to fuel further growth in the region. PayPal in Stockholm is current recruiting a Senior Relationship Manager.

A typical day for the Senior Relationship Manager in PayPal will include:

  • The relationship manager (RM) is responsible for the retention, management and growth of the current portfolio of (global) large enterprise merchants (e-commerce companies) that work with PayPal to provide payments services to their consumers.
  • The RM Team is the primary business owner responsible for merchant satisfaction and for growing payment volume, revenue and share of checkout with these key clients.

What does Success Look Like? 

  • Owning the end-to-end strategic relationships with a portfolio of key enterprise merchants (mainly e-commerce companies)
  • Managing appropriate PayPal resources to achieve specific targets with merchant partners
  • Creating the strategic account plans for the portfolio and leading the cross- functional account team on specific targeted value-driving initiatives
  • Managing the full program of new PayPal products to be rolled out to the merchant portfolio
  • Proactively pitching enhancements to the merchants channels that will improve consumer experience and grow PayPal business;
  • Presenting business intelligence related to the merchants PayPal volume and product usage;
  • Reviewing progress on short, medium and long-term outstanding operational issues;
  • Listening to the merchants describe their business objectives and discuss how PayPal can help and add incremental value
  • Learning merchant product pain points and wish-list; understands priorities and urgency; communicates this knowledge to PayPal management; keeps the merchants informed of product roadmap
  • Working in close collaboration with the Scandinavian account management team based in Dublin
  • Organizing merchant events, as well as representing PayPal at various industry events in the Scandinavian region

About You:  

  • Demonstrable track record of driving significant value for organizations through building long- term business relationships and delivering to stretching targets
  • Experience of managing large and complex programs/projects/clients within e- commerce/retail/payments/technology/financial services environments
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English and Swedish)
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Project and account management qualification desired
  • Able to bring the gravitas required to effectively communicate and influence at all levels to achieve win-win scenarios
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take charge and work effectively to deliver results, despite internal or external obstacles
  • Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starting, with no need for close managerial supervision
  • Experience from an international business environment
  • Being comfortable with high level discussions and negotiations at C-level
