PayPal currently seeks a talented and entrepreneurial Relationship Manager to join our CEE market team based in Warsaw. Central and Eastern Europe consists of 23 countries, over 100M internet users, and is one of the fastest growing e- commerce regions in EMEA.

This represents an exceptional opportunity to join our successful Warsaw based team, in an incredibly fast paced growth environment. The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for the retention, management and growth of the current portfolio of large enterprise merchants that work with PayPal to provide payments services to their consumers. The Relationship Manager (RM) is the primary business owner responsible for merchant satisfaction and for growing payment volume, revenue and share of checkout with these key clients. We’re looking for someone with a consultative sales approach and a solid sales track record with Enterprise-level clients, driving revenue growth whilst also creating long-term client relationships.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Ownership of the end-to-end strategic relationships with a portfolio of key enterprise merchants (from CXOs to operational teams)
  • Responsibility for managing appropriate PayPal resources to achieve specific targets with merchant partners
  • Creation and ownership of the strategic account plans for the portfolio and leading the cross- functional account team on specific targeted value-driving initiatives
  • Responsibility for managing the full program of new PayPal products to be rolled out to the merchant portfolio
  • Proactively pitch enhancements to the merchants channels that will improve consumer experience and grow PayPal business;
  • Present business intelligence related to the merchants PayPal volume and product usage;
  • Review progress on short, medium and long-term outstanding operational issues;
  • Listen to the merchants describe their business objectives and discuss how PayPal can help and add incremental value
  • Learning merchant product pain points and wish-list; understands priorities and urgency; communicates this knowledge to PayPal management; keeps the merchants informed of product roadmap
  • Work in close collaboration with the account management team based in Dublin                                              
  • Working with internal and client marketing teams to design co-marketing campaigns
  • Work hand in hand with the PayPal integration teams in order to come up with suggestions on how to optimize the technical integration between PayPal and the merchant
  • Organize merchant events, as well as representing PayPal at various industry events in the CEE region
  • Drive PayPal’s business in new commerce formats (app-based commerce, click & collect, self-service kiosk etc)
  • Partner with merchants to deliver best-in-class online and mobile check-out experience to drive incremental sales with PayPal
  • Work with Product, Integration, Marketing and Risk teams to enhance PayPal’s value proposition and design tailored solutions
  • Champion PayPal’s development across verticals and new commerce formats, by building strong go-to-market plans, ensuring presence at key sector events and building extensive networks with industry’s influences and decision makers.

Job requirements:

  • Existing work experience in sales, business development or consulting within a fast-paced and target-oriented environment.
  • First-hand knowledge of e-commerce, retail, or payment industry, and genuine interest in digital, mobile commerce and innovation.
  • Strong presentation and listening skills: comfortable presenting and negotiating with senior executives (CxO).
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills; comfortable in a complex selling environment with multiple decision makers at many levels both internally and externally.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, problem solver and deal closer, with a positive, creative and innovative mindset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent team player with great interpersonal, cross-cultural, communication skills
  • Fluent in English plus one of the following languages (Polish, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Greek, Finnish)
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
