PayPal’s payments product team is looking for a Senior Payments Product Manager focused on Bank and ACH products in the EMEA region. This role will part of the team that is focused on building, deploying, maintenance, and ultimately the adoption of all banking products and platforms in EMEA.

The ideal candidate is an end-to-end payments product manager with:

  • Strong knowledge of bank systems such as ACH, Bill Pay, Wires along with payment schemes such as SEPA, UK-BACS, UK-FPS  
  • Successful track record of building/launching secure, scalable and robust payment platforms/products
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization and collaborate across diverse group of stakeholders (e.g. Risk/Compliance, designers, data analysts, external partners, Biz dev, Legal etc.)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the existing and new bank products/platforms for the region.
  • Identify opportunities to build new products/expand existing products in the market.
  • Ensure PayPal products and systems remain compliant with the market changes by partnering with external and internal stakeholder. This will entail having a strong understanding of the banking landscape and the market changes that would impact PayPal.
  • Create and prioritize a rolling roadmap of products and features.
  • Define product requirements and lead successful execution of payment initiatives on the roadmap.
  • Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with other product managers, product development, CS, operations, external partners, legal, compliance and other internal teams for new initiatives or in resolving complex live issues.
  • Use analytics, market research, usability studies, A/B testing and competitive analysis to drive decision making
  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions.  Engage in problem solving with analytics to determine trends and root causes.
  • Regularly review with internal partners and external vendors PayPal’s payment product performance and how it compares to the market. Aim is to continuously improve and exceed market performance.
  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven track-record of bringing new bank based payments products to market. 
  • 5+ years working in payments or online payments environment and a knowledge of product and technology used in payment systems.
  • Strong analytical skills & technical acumen along with knowledge of product management principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across global teams
  • Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty.
  • Experience in working in a global matrix organization spread across multiple locations is a plus.
  • A willingness to travel and the knowledge of German, French is a plus.
