Lead the team to execute PayPal’s Inside Sales strategies across the Australian market to exceed sales targets. Contribute to future-state strategic planning as part of a global team reporting to PayPal’s Head of Global Inside Sales.

Operational responsibilities

  • Lead Australia-focused Inside sales teams to effectively position PayPal’s value to our customers
  • Drive selling behaviours that ensure sufficient pipeline to overachieve sales targets. Manage PayPal’s telesales pipeline by executing mechanisms to track, evaluate, and debottleneck the Inside Sales pipeline and build transparency of pipeline performance across the PayPal organization
  • Own and manage sales performance by setting targets and KPIs (leading & lagging) that are tied to effective quotas/incentive structures/programs to motivate sales team to achieve priorities aligned with overall telesales strategies
  • Own reporting of sales performance, forecasts, pipeline and productivity to drive transparency across the PayPal organization
  • Execute sales talent and capability improvements by upskill/ development programs, coaching programs and support needs that are aligned with growth needs of PayPal’s global objectives and commercial growth strategies; facilitate sharing of learnings between sales teams across markets; and actively coach regional telesales leadership to be effective people leaders
  • Satisfy board and regulatory requirements as set by PayPal Australia Business Unit

Strategic responsibilities

  • Contribute as an executive team member to the Global Head of Inside Sales’ work in developing and driving execution of global long-term and near-term telesales strategies.
  • Work closely with regional sales teams to identify and prioritize target markets, customers, and products that are in line with PayPal’s global objectives and commercial growth strategies
  • Direct sales resource allocation decisions, including contributing to outsourcing strategy and capacity management
  • Drive performance partnership with marketing to enable regional sales teams and marketing functions to align strategies, priorities and tactics that improve the entire end-to-end customer pipeline from lead generation to account activation, including sharing of customer insights & analytics, streamlined hand-offs for a continuous customer experience, and shared accountability of pipeline performance metrics

  • Deep experience in developing, leading, and executing a technology and/or payments sales strategy in a global commercial B2B context
  • Strong knowledge of the geographic nuances that inform a winning Australia Inside Sales strategy, and how to best drive best possible execution from Australia-based teams.
  • Deep insights into the requirements, growing markets and customers and key customer touchpoints across the sales funnel
  • Exceptional ability to manage day-to-day team performance to meet annual and quarterly targets
  • Experience of working across regions and functional groups to achieve common objectives serve as part of a collaborative, hands-on executive team
  • Strong experience leading teams of multi-tenured sales reps to quickly align with vision and mission, and inspirational capabilities to generate energy and enthusiasm on a sales floor

  • Ability and willingness to travel globally as needed
