Developing and managing local front book and/or back book sales teams, including Direct Sales (Large Merchant Sales) and/or Account Executives (to grow PayPal’s share of volume on key merchants in the portfolio, minimizing merchant churn, upselling the merchant to new products/solutions and opening up new business opportunities)

The UK Senior Manager Enterprise Sales will be responsible for:

  • Delivering against the revenue & sales targets for the UK Large Enterprise Segment
  • Monitoring PayPal’s Large Enterprise business performance and drive resolution of issues that may arise
  • Defining and implementing short- and long-term business strategy for the UK Large Enterprise Segment in coordination with the functions (Marketing, Product, Legal, Pricing, Merchant Ops, etc.)
  • Conducting regular business reviews with the team to review performance and identify new areas of opportunity
  • Defining actionable solutions to meet merchant’s needs, leveraging a cross-functional team including Marketing, Product, Pricing, Legal and Risk
  • Developing and managing local front book and/or back book sales teams, including Direct Sales (Large Merchant Sales) and/or Account Executives (to grow PayPal’s share of volume on key merchants in the portfolio, minimizing merchant churn, upselling the merchant to new products/solutions and opening up new business opportunities)

Key Requirements

  • Proven ability in building up and managing sales and business development teams
  • Ability to juggle a large number of business deals and priorities
  • Deep sales and influencing skills with a proven track record of success; ability to sell, internally and externally
  • A team player with great interpersonal and communication skills. An excellent people manager, able to lead the local sales team and also to influence the functional teams and the peers in the other countries
  • Problem solver with good intellectual, analytical rigor and quantitative analysis capabilities;
  • Ability to create a strong internal network with other functions and to influence other people’s thinking
  • Strong knowledge of both of the Payment Industry and of the e-commerce market in the region
  • Self-starter, results -and detail-oriented.
  • Quick learner, capable of understanding the intricacies of a complex product and a complex organization in a complex industry

Qualifications

  • >10  years experience in sales/business development at a major Payments or e-commerce company, or as senior manager within the merchant division of a key financial services company
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in working in international environment
