The Credit Marketing Team is seeking a Senior Manager, Credit to lead marketing strategy development and execution across the customer lifecycle that drives customer engagement and loyalty, including go-to-market support for new initiatives, across Credit products (PayPal Credit and cobrand cards). In this role, you will lead a high performing team and manage diverse cross-functional teams and external partners to strategize, execute, monitor and deliver results for PayPal Credit, a digital line of credit offered through the PayPal wallet, and two cobrand card products. The successful candidate will champion the customer, incorporate a strategic and analytical view, integrate creativity, and be highly effective at communicating with business partners and managing relationships. You must have the ability to succeed in a heavily matrixed environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate with internal and external partners in a positive, productive, and transparent way.


  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of marketing programs across the customer lifecycle for PayPal Credit and cobrand card products.  Additionally, support go-to-market initiatives for new products, features and pricing initiatives across the Credit portfolio.
  • Manage the development of multi-channel (e-mail, onsite, web, etc.) program strategies, segmentation, and creative, ensure flawless execution, and measure and monitor program results for effectiveness across the full customer lifecycle (onboarding, retention, reactivation, etc.).  Partner with the Analytics, Legal, Compliance, Marketing Operations, Product, Risk, and Merchant teams along with external agencies and Synchrony in strategizing and executing marketing programs.
  • Manage the end-to-end planning process for new product benefits and features including messaging development, channel planning, forecasting and provide marketing expertise to cross functional project teams.
  • Take a leadership role in quarterly strategy and planning sessions with business partners across the enterprise with a focus on developing strategies that generate positive returns and increase customer engagement/loyalty.  
  • Prepare and present program results to senior leadership
  • Provide coaching and career guidance to a high performing team of two 


  • 10+ years of direct-to-consumer marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing and developing teams
  • Customer lifecycle/CRM, digital and mobile marketing experience
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fluid, ever changing environment. 
  • Proactive in approach with flawless execution amongst multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Conscientious, curious, hard-working individual who craves accountability, loves to solve complex problems and puts the customer first in everything he/she does.
  • Comfortable in using data to draw insights and generate strategies
  • Consumer Credit marketing experience preferred. Understanding of the financial services, financial tech and payments industry/ecosystem and managing external relationships a plus.
