PayPal Risk Data and Analytics(DNA) Shanghai team is looking for enthusiastic candidates who have passion on big data processing/analysis/visualization related technologies and like to build data analytics solution from scratch to solve real business needs. Our mission is to transform massive amount of PayPal data assets into business value and power risk decision capability for PayPal Risk.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement near real-time data applications on top of massive logging data;

- Enhance homegrown data query services to make the big data easier to use;

- Support operational monitoring requirements from business/risk analysts;

- Track risk operation issues and work with partners on investigation;

Job Requirements

- Bachelors/Masters degree and 2-3 years working experience in relevant area ;

- Strong programming skills in Java or Scala, hands on with one of the scripting languages: Python, PHP or Bash;

- Familiar with any of big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka/Storm;

- Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL/MongoDB/Redis will be a big plus;

- Good communication skills. Fluency in English, both written and oral;
