We are seeking an experienced data scientist with a track record of delivering real world applicable solutions to work on some of the most interesting problems in online fraud, user identification, and user authentication. Our data scientists work closely with both the strategy and engineering teams, analyzing fraud patterns and creating and adapting advanced fraud prevention mechanisms while focusing on the customer’s experience. The scientists overcome challenges presented by big data, evolving fraud techniques and new payment technologies by leveraging area expertise, data analysis, and advanced algorithms. You will be work in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation with a global team that is multi-disciplinary with broad spectrum of industry experiences, deep analytical and quantitative expertise. Primary Job Responsibilities:- Help drive innovation in using extensive sources of data for detection and prevention of fraud attacks. Work with multiple teams to provide subject matter expertise into the ever-evolving domain of user identification and continuous authentication. Provide regular updates to leadership, peers and other stakeholders that will simplify and clarify complex concepts and the results of analyses effectively with emphasis on the actionable outcomes and impact to business.

Required Qualifications (if you don’t meet the below but still think you are the right person for the job – please tell us why!)

  • Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
  • 3-5 years data science work experience
  • Code writing capability in any programming language (Python, R, Java, Scala, etc.) and familiarity with relevant ML packages
  • Hadoop experience (PIG, Hive, Spark)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Team worker, responsible, delivery-oriented

Preferred Skills

  • Digital signal processing
  • Familiarity with MEMs – example motion sensors like Accelerometer, Gyroscope etc and algorithms using them for gait recognition, activity detection, gesture detection etc
  • Familiarity with imaging sensors and algorithms using them for eye-tracking etc
  • Expertise in using Android / iOS sensor HAL API’s (camera, motion, display) to get user behavioral biometric data and extract user level behavior insights and signatures
