PayPal seeks a business-savvy, data-driven and collaborative Senior Analyst to work with the Global Professional Services Organization. The mission of the team is to foster a collaborative, transparent, and data-driven culture to drive end-to-end analysis and business insights for our global teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Apply your expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis, data mining, and to relate the big-picture and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions
  • Conduct business analysis and visualization using large datasets to convey complex concepts in business appropriate insights and recommendations for audience
  • Design and develop management reporting dashboards using reporting tools and support global and regional views across GPS
  • Use data insights to identify optimization opportunities across PayPal, and be willing to test and iterate data models
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and partner organizations to ensure consistency and sharing of insights as “one team”

Job Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of related experience in business intelligence driven data analytics organization
  • Previous experience in product, business or financial analytics is a plus.
  • Partner with GPS analytics team, Global Sales Operations, Finance Operations, and wider product and engineering teams to run analysis on large datasets using SQL/Teradata
  • Deliver high quality analysis and data visualization, conveying complex concepts in easy to understand terms with audience appropriate information and recommendations
  • Continuously evolve a rich understanding of PayPal’s products, data, and applications
  • Problem solving skills, with ability to drive action and impact
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact with stakeholders
  • Business insights skills - as an administrator and user:
    • Required skills - Advanced Tableau, Advanced Microsoft Excel
    • Great to have skills - experience with MicroStrategy, Einstein Analytics, Salesforce.com reporting, Data Warehouse applications (Teradata preferred, other platforms will be considered as well). Experience building financial models and scenario planning is a plus. 
  • Data analysis skills:
    • Required skills – Advanced SQL/Teradata
    • Great to have skills – R, SAS, Python, or other analytical tools
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent work experience
