*Senior Android Engineer Mobile Core*

The Mobile Core team is responsible for delivering products and features used by millions of Venmo users every day. *Description*

This is an amazing opportunity to join a team that is on the cusp of the next wave of innovation. As an engineer on the experience team you will be primarily responsible for feature development and you should be comfortable moving from application development to UI to Framework. You will be responsible for developing the next wave of features and in addition you’ll also be responsible debugging and delivering the best, the most secure and the most performant application possible. Testing is an important part of what we do so writing and running tests are an important part of how we maintain a quality product. Empowerment is important here and we need engineers who can be creative and innovative to produce stellar products.

*Key Qualifications*

* 5+ years experience in Android Development

* Strong Kotlin Skills.  

* Deep Understanding of Android UI

* Successfully launched consumer products

* Extensive experience with Coroutines

* Experience with memory management and performance optimization. 

* Experience with SQL Light and other caching solutions

* Experience developing, maintaining and innovating large scale, consumer-facing mobile applications

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with others

* Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Android. 

* Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent work experience
