Job Description

Fueled by a fundamental belief that having access to financial services creates opportunity, PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) is committed to democratizing financial services and empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy. Our open digital payments platform gives PayPal’s 375 million active account holders the confidence to connect and transact in new and powerful ways, whether they are online, on a mobile device, in an app, or in person. Through a combination of technological innovation and strategic partnerships, PayPal creates better ways to manage and move money, and offers choice and flexibility when sending payments, paying or getting paid. Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.

PayPal is seeking a driven and analytical Treasury professional with relevant experience to join our global Treasury M&A Integration team. This role is based in Luxembourg and will mainly support EMEA and APAC integrations, although may be needed to step into US based integrations as needed. The Treasury M&A Integration team is part of the core cross-functional team that supports PayPal’s M&A activity led by the Corporate Development team. The Treasury M&A Integration team supports both the Treasurer and Head of Corporate Finance & Investor Relations during the due diligence process for acquisitions and strategic investments. The Treasury M&A Integration team sets the strategy for Treasury integration and is responsible for coordination of integration activities alongside other M&A partners and workstreams including Tax, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.

In this role, you will support the Treasury M&A deal lead in the due diligence, acquisition and subsequent integration of the target company’s Treasury operations into the group. You will be primarily responsible for driving and managing the integration of acquisitions as relates to all components of the Treasury organization as well as Corporate Finance and Insurance. The role will lead improvements in Treasury’s integration agility around bank account and Treasury systems integration and train other team members on the process changes. The successful individual would be a key contributor to continuous improvement to the M&A playbook.

This role is a high visibility role that requires the ability to lead several process workstreams through explorations, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem solving.  The ability to work collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to arrive at risk-based approaches related to tactical execution steps is required.

In this role, you may be required to manage key internal and external relationships, provide key insights, quantitative or qualitative analysis and recommendations for both the transaction itself and any subsequent integration of the target company.
