Opportunity to build and lead a team to formulate Seller Risk Strategy for PayPal.
Seller risk management is a critical foundation for maintaining the health of PayPal’s payments ecosystem ensuring great experience for its users and long term financial success of PayPal.
As lead of Seller risk strategy, you will drive and formulate analytics based strategy across a seller’s lifecycle from on-boarding, activation, on-going monitoring and privilege management of sellers. This role will allow you to get in-depth and broad understanding of PayPal’s overall business model.

The manager will lead a team of analysts who utilize data and analytics to identify, build, and promote new strategies to optimize PayPal’s seller risk management; manage the overall strategy and foresee development of various business initiatives & programs globally; lead updates on strategy and initiatives to senior execs; Partner with product and platform team to define seller experience and product features; Support overall risk goals through detailed data mining and analysis that results in policies, test-and-learn pilot programs and broad strategies to deliver efficiency, loss reduction and better customer experience; collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to work in a team environment and provide consultative support.

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in strategy, product management, or analytics
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, product management, or analytics. Past risk experience is a plus
  • Ability to create strategic presentations and deliver them to PayPal leadership team
  • Strong knowledge of data querying and analytics tools is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to solve critical business issues using innovative solutions.
  • Strong relationship management skills in order to ensure effective collaboration and goal alignment.
  • The ability to aggressively multi-task & set others’ expectations in a time-pressured environment remains important.
  • Ability to approach problems in a quantitative and qualitative manner, draw meaningful conclusions, and make business recommendations
