PayPal Information Security is seeking a Security Integration Strategist to help define, articulate and communicate the vision and execution of security strategy across the enterprise.

PayPal Information Security is seeking a Security Integration Strategist to help define, articulate and communicate the vision and execution of security strategy across the enterprise.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a methodology for ensuring that both policy and strategy are consistently applied across the enterprise including new acquisitions.
  • Direct consistent messaging on matters related to PayPal Information Security and M&A to internal and external audiences.
  • Articulate Information Security Policy to stakeholders and leaders from acquisitions, and work with internal teams to drive plans for compliance during the integration process.
  • Lead engagement with senior leadership and business units across PayPal to educate employees and key leadership, encourage collaboration on security policy, and enable open dialogue on Information Security issues and activities.
  • Represent PayPal Information Security in key engagements on cybersecurity strategy, policy, integration.
  • Identify critical champions and stakeholders on issues and manage effective engagement with those persons and entities. 
  • Be an Information Security advocate & liaison with other business units to support them in achieving our security goals.
  • Work across the Security Strategy and M&A teams to ensure that policies and strategies are updated and enhanced as appropriate, with learnings from previous integrations.
  • ollaborate on information security vision and build a comprehensive approach for partnering with both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of security experience.
  • Senior leader of a large, global organization in an Information Security role.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and business professionals inside and outside of the company.
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise-wide information security assurance, processes, and organizational structures.
  • Outstanding leadership skills – a thinker and a doer.
  • Lateral thinking and perseverance in achieving goals.
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and learn from others on the team.

Competencies Required

Business Partner:  Demonstrated ability to anticipate the needs of business partners, proven ability to support a fast-paced business and demonstrated ability to understand and balance business exigencies with the provision of information security services.  Candidates must have a record of proactively building and maintaining productive relationships with colleagues; effectively converting security perspectives into the business context of the organization and priorities.

Collaborative Management Style:  The ideal candidate will be required to develop a strong and effective partnership with executives and operating teams in all geographies. He or she will have a strong orientation toward making decisions that will benefit the organization as a whole, rather than optimizing resources or benefits solely his or her for own team.

Innovation Leadership:  Demonstrated ability to lead with innovative ideas rather than follow the competition and traditional approaches.  He/she will be an “out-of-the-box” thinker who will determine what PayPal needs to build today in order to get ahead of future threats and manage risk through a combination of sound traditional and creative approaches of securing information assets.

Education

Undergraduate degree in computer science or related security field required; MS in same fields and/or an MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
