The PayPal Core Security Product Engineering organization is looking for string DevOps person who is passionate about security and solving problems leveraging cutting-edge PayPal technology stacks for securing PayPal customer data. A successful candidate would closely work with partners/customer of the security engineering team in supporting and debugging encryption and key management products in Java, Python and leveraging cutting-edge PayPal security technologies.

Job Summary

The PayPal Core Security Product Engineering organization is looking for string DevOps person who is passionate about security and solving problems leveraging cutting-edge PayPal technology stacks for securing PayPal customer data. A successful candidate would closely work with partners/customer of the security engineering team in supporting and debugging encryption and key management products in Java, Python and leveraging cutting-edge PayPal security technologies.



Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with partners/customer of the security engineering team in supporting and debugging encryption and key management products in Java, Python and leveraging cutting-edge PayPal security technologies
  • Seek out opportunities to develop and improve existing automation processes
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, with a willingness to resolve problems
  • Collect and report on operational metrics for SLA reporting and capacity planning
  • Collaborate with other groups by seeking, using and giving feedback


Education and Experience

  • Bachelors in computer science with 8+ years of experience or Masters in computer science and 6+ years of experience in the industry; 4+ in DevOps or a similar role

  • Good experince in Python and Unix Shell Scripting
  • Experience as a developer (e.g. Java, Python, Perl, SQL)
  • Experience with task automation using open source, customized scripts, and/or off-theshelf tools

  • Understanding of Object Oriented Concepts, design patterns and data structures
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Git, Jenkins, JUnit, Maven
  • Knowledge in Cryptography
