Sales Engineer Partner Integrations (m/f)

PayPal DEATCH Merchant Services is focused on maximizing the adoption, use, and preference for PayPal on-line by addressing customer needs more effectively than any other payments provider and by offering customers the best payment experiences.
As a Sales Engineer and a tenured technical professional, you will partner with commercial teams to drive the acceptance of PayPal within the DEATCH's largest merchants. 


  • Cooperate with PayPal’s commercial teams in presenting PayPal’s Solutions to the largest partners and merchants
  • Provide detailed solution design and technical guidance to top tier partners and merchants.
  • Gather business requirements and provide solution proposal with complex integration needs.
  • Ensure the implementation according to our best practices. 
  • Be recognized as a subject matter expert and influence key PayPal internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts at the level appropriate to the audience.
  • Use market and competitive environment knowledge to craft and deliver compelling proposals to merchants and partners.
  • Assess implementation risks; work with external and internal stakeholders to proactively and effectively remove obstacles to successful project delivery. 


With demonstrable experience in technical pre-sales, integration or project management as well as outstanding verbal and written communication with the ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapt communication styles with all levels of client organizations. Knowledge of online payment processing, payment service providers or carts is a plus.


  • Bachelors or Master Degree
  • A proven record of working with Internet and mobile Internet based commerce and ideally payment systems (carts, gateways, platforms).
  • Demonstrable experience in technical pre-sales, implementation and / or consultancy. Existing optimization experience considered favorably.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication with the ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapt communication styles with all levels of client organizations.
  • Experience with Internet Technologies including Web Services and the ability to technically troubleshoot applications /code.
  • Analytical Skills, the ability to provide tangible insights from a range of data sources.
  • Ability to present and train on product and technical solutions. 
  • Experience with mobile and tablet app development/testing considered a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English
