The PayPal Global Sales organization acquires merchant and partners via direct and indirect sales teams, as part of the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) organization. The Commercial CFO team works closely with the Global sales leadership decide the strategy and priorities needed to grow the global business, and the Sales Compensation team reports into the CFO for the CCO Org. This role will report into the Global Sales Compensation Leaders and will drive and manage the end to end design of compensation plans for our International Enterprise segment as well as the Global Customer Success team. The role will also include configuration and maintenance of our commissions management tool (ICM) to ensure accurate and timely payments in accordance with sales compensation plan documents and policies.

COMP ADMINISTRATION/PLANNING

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual calculations of sales compensation; validate and monitor payments of incentive compensation plan components and commissions.
  • Oversee, support and analyze incentive compensation plans for our global sales organization that align with established financial and sales models.
  • Drive resolutions that will minimize/eliminate manual processes during the plan payout and administration.
  • Evaluate opportunities for decreased redundancy in processing in order to optimize the payout administration.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline sales compensation systems processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business partnerships with Finance, People Org, Legal, and Sales leadership to ensure alignment of incentive compensation plans with organizational, financial, and sales goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and update sale compensation systems and processes critical to the reporting and tracking of sales compensation metrics.
  • Work with Sales leadership, Sales Support, Sales Enablement and other leaders to educate on these processes.
  • Work with Business Partners on planning activities related to compensation plans

ICM TOOL

  • Help manage maintenance of ICM tool to ensure designs, calculations and rates can be automated in our ICM commissions system and are in accordance with our comp policies and comp plans
  • Oversee and collaborate with systems team, Data team and rest of the compensation team to ensure configuration of all plans and all plan elements are optimized and properly operating in the ICM Tool
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on everything related to ICM tool be it new plan implementation, ad-hoc reports or mid-year plan changes
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of ICM Tool throughout the plan year including defining and developing solutions based on newly identified needs
  • Collaborate with partners to drive data consistency and naming conventions across ICM system

Experience

  • 5 years’ relevant experience developing, implementing or administering compensation programs and systems.
  • Extensive experience with SPM configuration, including workflows, validation rules, calculations and security controls.
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed SPM functional designs.
  • Experience in documenting current state business processes and system designs as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs.
  • Experience with the following platforms: Salesforce, Xactly, Callidus (or similar sales compensation tool), Tableau, MS Office Products.
  • Familiar with SPM market trends and the execution of effective processes to support compensation strategies in an SPM
  • Familiar with governance and controls related to Sales compensation.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to multi-task and work in a global, matrixed, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial management & modeling experience
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and administering delivery of payouts from successful sales incentive strategies with multiple levels across a diverse workforce.
  • 5+ years recent experience in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, or commissions (commissions experience highly preferred).
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with data analysis, including the ability to develop and create dynamic tools for modeling and analyzing data.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Management/Administration, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
