The CRS Merchant Support Jr Risk Expert will be the one point of contact for all consumer risk analysis and education for different tiers of Merchants. The Expert is responsible for enhancing an ongoing relationship with a core group of enterprise and strategic level merchants from risk management perspective and empowering internal MS members for risk education to SMB merchants. The main objectives for the position are to maintain maximum satisfaction among the enterprise and strategic account base, to serve as the liaison between the merchant and PayPal for all risk communication and to actively participate in the merchant risk education, development and ongoing risk mitigation for large, strategic accounts. The Expert will be responsible for other duties assigned by CRS, including projects and escalations from Enterprise Account Managers and localized Business Units. An ability to work independently while making sound business decisions is required. Strong analytical and communications skills are also necessary for this role.

The role will require tight coordination with a wide range of PayPal teams, including, but not limited to: Risk Policy, Consumer Protections, Seller Risk Management, Chargebacks, Enterprise and large merchant Account Managers, AUP, EDD, LM Underwriting and Vetting, Global Customer Service.

  • Manage assigned merchant relationships as defined by BU and CRS. (10%)
  • Proactively support PayPal merchants with regard to comprehensive risk service package through PayPal systems and flags based on possible risk activity. (50%)
  • Liaise with Enterprise Account Managers who manage the accounts assigned to you and participate in communication and education with the Merchants where Risk expertise is required or will benefit management of accounts. Present, participate, and contribute to on-site meetings and demonstrations for all assigned merchants. (30%)
  • Work on projects as assigned. These will often be related to process improvement and enhanced support of the broader Risk management function and enable revenue in PayPal. (10%)
