The Risk Manager role is responsible for supporting the execution of our corporate risk management and global insurance programs.

This role will also:

Provide expertise to identify, analyze, and manage PayPal’s risk.
Support development and implementation of risk transfer solutions.
Maintain exposure data working with key internal stakeholders to capture global exposure, analyze trends and forecasts expected loss and exposure.   
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders – internal (Legal, HR, ERM, Security, Facilities, Finance) and externally (brokers, insurers, other) – to manage risk across the enterprise (i.e., hazard, operational, regulatory).
Provide claims management and insurance litigation support for claims.
Working with Legal and Procurement, review contracts and indemnity requirements for leases, vendor management agreements and strategic partner agreements. Ensure compliance with contract terms including issuance of certificates of insurance – incoming and outgoing.
Manage mid-term risk analysis and coverage review and recommend changes to policy coverage to Head of Insurance for real-time optimization.
Support and prepare documentation, reporting and tracking of key risks managed by Treasury including but not limited to managing the cadence, documentation and monitoring of key risk indicators.
Track and report on Treasury issues (ERCS, Internal Audit) and remediation.
Support product development related to insurance products and solutions for consumers and merchants.
With input from Business and Finance Resiliency, maintain BCP documentation and support training and program maturity.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years Treasury/Finance/Risk Management experience
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent; MBA or risk credentialed preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills including Excel and other analytical tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Proven track record of cross functional collaboration and driving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Resourceful, self-starter – desire to become the expert in new and emerging risks and hybrid industries
  • Results focused with strong personal accountability and pride of work
  • Exceptionally organized with capability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
