PayPal is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Business Financing Solutions team, the position will work across risk management for the multiple countries, with additional future global expansions planned.  

As a Credit Risk Strategy Analyst within PayPal's Business Financing Solutions team you will:

  • Work with data across multiple platforms and geographic regions 
  • Analyze credit decision processes
  • Identify, measure and monitor credit risk trends
  • Explore new data solutions to help optimize strategy development
  • Contribute to the data management infrastructure in support of risk strategy analytics
  • Contribute to the development of risk strategy policies and procedures
  • Monitor the overall composition and quality of the credit portfolio including identification of any concentrations of risk
  • Access and transform data into information and convert information into recommended strategies


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Decision Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Services, specifically within Credit Risk Management, small business, commercial, or consumer lending.
  • 3+ years of experience solving business problems leveraging data and analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL, SAS, R, Python, Xeno, MatLab, or similar data-mining and analytics applications.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
