This Credit Risk Analyst role for the International Consumer books will be responsible for analyzing all elements of the customer lifecycle, making recommendations for optimal strategies and initiatives covering credit strategies as well as for the diligent monitoring of book performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with P&L owners and other stakeholders to analyse, propose and implement robust strategies across the lifecycle of a consumer lending product, from acquisition to customer management to collections and recoveries
  • Measure the P&L impact of credit strategies to optimize mix of risk and revenue
  • Provide insights so leadership on book quality and provide recommendation on risk and opportunities
  • Explore data sources internal and external to PayPal and evaluate their potential contribution to the credit underwriting process
  • Interact with operations teams to provide input in impact of credit strategies on customer communication and collections efforts
  • Interact with compliance and legal teams to confirm the credit strategies are compliant with applicable regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree or equivalent
  • Several years consumer credit risk experience with market exposure on France and/or Spain and/or Italy
  • Ability to develop risk strategies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with data with database products (i.e. SAS, SQL)
  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex risk analyses into action-oriented recommendations
  • Can do and problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in English and at least in one (ideally 2) of the following languages: French, Spanish and/or Italian.
