The Resource Planning Analyst will report to Resource Planning & Service Optimization Senior Manager NA. The primary focus on developing long-term forecasts that derive from the understood business drivers to determine required headcount based on projecting volumes, duration, and required staffing levels using current trends and historical data for multiple contact types as well as initiative roadmaps. The secondary focus will be on developing detailed staffing plans for Global Customer Services function and providing end to end resource planning support to the BU.

Specifically, the Resource Planning Analyst will:

  • Define long term resource demand across multiple NA CS segments under-scored by robust baseline data, in addition to factoring in new and upcoming initiatives and intelligence that will impact HC requirements. Help ensure responsibility for high quality baseline demand forecasts that are developed and maintained for Operations, leveraging statistical analysis and expertise with the best available cross-functional inputs and applying sound judgment based on knowledge of the business. Develop and analyze data with the objective of making recommendations for adjusting staffing levels to meeting  departmental productivity and SL objectives, with an ability to reconcile information from diverse sources into a single unified statement of demand.
  • Develop detailed employee staffing plans for NA In-House GCS function as assigned. This requires close partnership with the BU leaders, Talent Acquisition, Training, and other resources mainly from the rest of resource planning organization to ensure that the proposed hire plans meet the requirements of the business in an efficient and cost effective manner and to ensure that all stakeholders can successfully deliver and implement the proposed hire plans. 
  • Facilitate the implementation of the approved staffing plans by meeting with, and providing all stakeholders with weekly updates to approved plans, identifying variances, risk and opportunities to the plan and adjusting the plan accordingly.
  • As a planning analyst, they will be a regular participant and contributor in NA pre-Cap and Global Cap meetings.
  • Monitor individual/departmental moves and maintain employee location data.
  • Prepare and provide analysis to the business to enable robust decision making that will ultimately improve efficiency and performance in a customer focused way.
  • Support and input into Location strategies by function and overall.
  • Analyze attrition trends as an input to the hire plan.
  • Manage accuracy of data within PPOP (“PayPal Operations Planning tool”) to enable informed decisions.
  • Implement continuous improvements in the HC planning process including opportunities to streamline and automate.
  • Perform various Project Management and Staffing Analysis as needed.
  • Building and maintaining strong/active working relationships with Global counterparts.
  • Partner very closely with the current NA resource planning analysts for end to end insights and ability to provide comprehensive hiring plans supported planning support to the business partners.
  • Working closely with Global resource planning analysts to track current and forecasted headcount that may impact NA CS functions.
