The Lead Recruiter will join a small team of research operations specialists who are responsible for delivering seamless, quality operational support to deliver best in class user experience research. Working with researchers and partners, the Lead Recruiter position designs and develops recruiting approaches that support research study objectives.

The UED team at PayPal champion’s user centered design across our organization. Working in partnership with Product and Engineering teams, we build the next generation of financial services products. The User Experience Research team, working with our Design partners, designs and delivers impactful research that guides our work and brings the voice of the user to all we do. We are looking to recruit a Lead Recruiter to join our UER Recruiting & Operations team. The Lead Recruiter will join a small team of research operations specialists who are responsible for delivering seamless, quality operational support to deliver best in class user experience research. Working with researchers and partners, the Lead Recruiter position designs and develops recruiting approaches that support research study objectives. They will have responsibility for delivering well targeted, rigorously screened participants for these studies and will continue to contribute to the overall recruiting and operations function through learnings and best practices. They will also be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, and enjoy working with junior members of the team to build their skills and experience. The successful candidate for this role will have some participant recruitment experience, and enjoy working with the wider team to develop their practice and improve processes, including identifying and trying and new approaches in participant recruitment. They will also work with 3rd party recruitment companies and will be able to outsource recruitment projects for a wide range of different initiatives and stakeholders across PayPal. Requirements include: • Individual project recruitment: o Understand research study goals and participant criteria o Translate criteria into survey screening questions o Program the screener in our self-service tool o Manage and filter responses o Recruit and confirm participants (incl. follow up, rescheduling, reporting) o Process paperwork required (e.g. NDAs) o Issue incentives • Communications; stakeholders, vendors and participants • Stakeholder management • Project intake, triage, vetting and delivery • Screener writing and screener development support • Incentive management • Project management of 3rd party recruitment o Outsourcing and support for unmoderated studies o Outsourcing and management of recurring studies • Resource planning through vendors • Resolution of recruitment vendor and customer Issues • Management and provision of customer lists where required • Training/coaching for stakeholders on participant recruitment best practices • Training/coaching and mentoring for junior recruiters The Lead Recruiter position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will also be detail orientated and very well organized, able to juggle multiple objectives and projects simultaneously, and be comfortable working under pressure. Education Bachelors’ degree or equivalent. Other criteria that may be advantageous: • Experience in a research recruiting role • Prior experience working with vendors • Working internationally • Bi-lingual/second language (Spanish)
