The Regulatory Governance team is responsible for ensuring we maintain strong oversight of the finance processes that support our global regulatory obligations. This role will support that effort by implementing continuous review over our finance regulatory reporting processes, and supporting the integration of new regulatory requirements . In addition he/she will manage all financial deliverables during Regulatory exams.

  • Partner with other Finance functions to ensure that current processes have the appropriate controls to comply with our regulatory obligations. 
  • Oversight of the reporting and forecasting process required for regulatory compliance purposes; including dashboard tracking of our global reporting requirements and our effectiveness at meeting those requirements.
  • Work with Regulatory reporting team to ensure procedures are in place where required and reviewed annually to reflect up to date processes.
  • Represent Finance on external interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure team readiness for regulatory exams; manage and communicate timelines of deliverables
  • Partner with other stakeholders to ensure on-site regulatory exams are efficient and effective
  • Track all issues raised by examiners working with stakeholders to ensure timely remediation.
  • Identify and communicate risks to ensure our regulatory obligations continue to be met.
  • Develop quality control processes to maintain a consistent source of truth for financial reporting.  This includes integration of new products and acquired businesses to ensure financial reporting aligns to our data quality standards.
  • Perform ongoing risk assessment over data quality and work with Data sourcing team to implement mitigation strategies to manage risk.
  • Monitor new regulations and project manage the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance and  circa 10 years’ professional experience in in e-commerce/payments/financial services industries;
  • Experience in audit or compliance is preferred.
  • Analytical and problem solving experience with a strong focus on quality assurance of output;
  • Knowledge of regulations affecting the Banking and Payments industries globally;
  • Familiarity with local and international accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP);
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability, quality, accuracy, integrity and trust;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross functional and remote teams;
  • Technical experience dealing with data systems and reporting platforms is an advantage
  • Strong process improvement skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
