As a QA Engineer you will have the opportunity to use your creativity and skills to ensure that the resilience, scalability and performance of our next generation cloud platform services maintains the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Build automated test frameworks for SDLC including API validation processes.
Design and build QA automation framework for acceptance, regression and deployment test cases.
Select and configure appropriate tool sets to effectively manage testing frameworks.
Utilize both manual and automated tests to ensure development outputs meet defined specifications in coordination with business requirements, technical specifications, installer/upgrade documents, and management expectations.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases and test matrix.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Lead all aspects of test planning and execution through all phases of the product development lifecycle, including testing strategies, stakeholder communication, and team mentoring.
Advise and assist project members with distributed testing responsibilities (e.g. unit testing).
Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of automation standards and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience in building a massively scalable high performance QA framework running production environments.
Design and implement software testing policies and procedures.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Contribution to open source projects is a plus.
Experience on operating in a hybrid cloud and container platform is a plus.
Requirements
3+ years of development experience in JAVA or Go.
Hands on experience working on public cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc...) or private cloud systems.
Hands on experience leading and delivering initiatives to provide test coverage for platform and services.
Experience with container technologies – k8s, mesos, docker, etc...
Linux systems knowledge.
Strong fundamentals working with docker/container/k8s technology with recent hands-on experience.
Working knowledge on any one of these cluster managers: mesos, kubernetes, or docker swarm. Mesos is a plus.
Strong understanding of fundamental distributed system principles in large scale environments.
