This position is based within the Commercial Growth team in the PayPal DEATCH organization. It is positioned at the core of the DEATCH business with great visibility of all business aspects of this region and therefore a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking to deliver results across the full scope of the PayPal business.

Program Manager Commercial Growth (m/f)

You will be working on projects related to the business expansion of the DEATCH business, as well as initiatives across PayPal’s core markets (North America, UK, DEATCH, AU), such as portfolio expansion, new revenue opportunities, competitor watch & strategy, market insights and adaption. You will also work with the Head of Commercial Growth to generate insights across all of PayPal’s business segments to generate marketable plans for the DEATCH region.

Creating transparency about the DEATCH business and spreading the DEATCH story within PayPal is an important part of our role. You will create regular updates for our core market leaders (NA/UK/DEATCH/AU) as well as be responsible for always having an up-to-date take on our business in this region.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Project management for strategic and tactical projects across PayPal’s business segments
  • Core market leadership updates & telling the DEATCH market story
  • Development of competitor watch mechanisms and strategies
  • Development of revenue expansion opportunities
  • Liaison with PayPal’s market insights teams to gain learnings for the business
  • Work with the business to generate operational plans from strategic budget initiatives
  • Work with the Head of Commercial Growth on transformation projects across the organisation

Position requirements:

  • Masters degree (or equivalent)
  • First experience in management consulting or a comparable role managing diverse projects, commercial experience in a sales & marketing organization desirable
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects with various internal stakeholders spread globally
  • Strong visual presentation skills, able to structure complex projects and situations concisely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently in front of key stakeholders and senior management
  • Experience in modern work tools such as Slack, Trello, etc. is a benefit
  • Solution-driven problem solver with an innovative mindset being able to think outside the box
  • Excellent intellectual, analytical rigor and quantitative analysis capabilities
  • A strong team player with great interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
  • Pleasant and fun, easy going with a great sense of humor and passion for results  
  • Fluent in both German and English required
