The Technical Implementation Specialist is an integral member of a cross-functional project team collectively responsible for timely delivery of payment distribution solutions that meet the needs of clients. A TIS uses technical knowledge and a keen understanding of available features and functionality within the Paylution platform to translate client business requirements into technical implementation plans. This person is also responsible for executing the implementation plan and ensuring project go-live readiness through vigorous testing and validation. The person works closely with and provides guidance to clients as they design, build, and test their API and/or Batch integrations to the Paylution platform. As the application SME, the TIS will ensure client readiness by planning and leading tailored training sessions and providing post-launch technical support.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Configure, test, and validate multiple Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation projects with accuracy, transparency and detail-orientation
  • Assume ownership of all technical aspects of assigned implementation projects while providing regular clear updates to key project stakeholders
  • Serve as primary technical contact during the implementation phase of projects; ensuring smooth launch of client solutions
  • Analyze, understand, and improve tools and processes to enhance the effectiveness of implementations
  • Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of our products and technologies and the technologies utilized by clients
  • Design and host training sessions for clients to facilitate a seamless launch
  • Support clients during warranty period; coordinate with support teams and clients to ensure smooth transition of support
  • Perform post-implementation configuration changes for clients and other project based technical support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology or equivalent experience and training (FinTech experience an asset)
  • 3+ years client implementation and/or project management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, across a wide range of audiences
  • Knowledge or experience with REST and or SOAP web services, Java Script, Visual Basic, HTML, SQL and web server (IIS, Apache, etc.)
  • Superb organizational skills and detail-orientation
  • Ability to multitask with minimal supervision
  • Appetite to manage and learn from challenging customer situations
  • Ability to deliver training to a non-technical audience
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and comfort with business platforms such as MS Office and virtual meeting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
