This Product Quality & Launch Manager, Japan role is part of the APAC Product Marketing (PMM) Team.

  • Ensure that all PayPal Japan product flows are working seamlessly for customers.
  • Manual testing of product flows and tracking of defects using tools such as JIRA.
  • Collaborating with product managers and engineers to drive defects to closure.
  • Keeping the Japan team up-to-date with the upcoming launches.
  • For all new product launches, provide test scenarios and lead employee / beta testing.
  • Be an expert in local requirements.
  • Provide prioritization to products being launched in the market.
  • Collaboration with PayPal customer service teams to understand customer pain points and issues, and work with global teams for resolution.
  • Provide insights into competitive product experiences & suggest improvements / optimizations on PayPal product flows

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in quality assurance and strong technical background (expertise in areas including, but not limited to, RESTful API, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL, git).
  • Experience with developing test cases and leading the execution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in interacting with overseas teams / clients.
  • Tools experience:   JIRA  
  • Business level English skills
  • Possesses a deep understanding of Japanese culture and market
  • Knowledge / background in payment industry is a plus
