The successful candidate will be a business analyst with data experience coming in on the ground floor of a new team for the First Line of Defense focusing on data and privacy. The role will consolidate input from multiple channels to solidify detailed requirements for documentation.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Partner with the first line of defense team in the documentation and reporting of data management per policy
    • Document the data collected in the appropriate system of record.
    • Consolidate findings into reporting packages
    • Identify gaps and work with team to resolve
    • Maintain and publish reporting
  • Maintain and track priorities, activities, issues and progress of all assigned responsibilities
  • Provide support to the larger governance team
  • Support special projects and initiatives:  
    • special projects may vary from strategic initiatives to day-to-day operations
  • Be comfortable working in a fluid environment where roles and responsibilities are still evolving
  • Document group discussions and meetings
  • Have a well-developed sense of urgency and follow through
  • Determine when to escalate to project manager and identify a potential resolution for the concern/issue

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with business, computer science or equivalent other related area of study or work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst
  • 1 - 2 years data related experience in financial services 
  • Experience in gathering and documenting user stories
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Project Management Tools (Rally, Clarizen, etc.)
  • Proficient with tools such as Power Point, MS Office, Access and Visio
  • Experience documenting workflow processes using process-flow or activity diagrams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including user presentations and training material, with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization
