The P2P Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for the financial performance, growth, and customer satisfaction of PayPal’s Send and Request Money / P2P product experience. Key activities include defining the full product roadmap across the product lifecycle, including but not limited to ideation, business case development, strategy alignment, resource prioritization, and commercialization.

The P2P Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for the financial performance, growth, and Consumer satisfaction of PayPal’s Send and Request Money / P2P product experience. Key activities include defining the full product roadmap across the product lifecycle, including but not limited to ideation, business case development, strategy alignment, resource prioritization, and commercialization. The PM will also be responsible for product performance post-launch and strategies to enhance using performance data. The PM will define product features and requirements that would best address our customers’ needs globally and capture market opportunities in response to the dynamic payment landscape. 


Guided by the strategic direction of the P2P leadership team, the PM will work with multiple stakeholders and partners (Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Customer Operations, Merchant Organization, Marketing, Product Operations, etc.) to deliver a world-class product experience to our Consumers. Consumer Product Management is a multi-dimensional discipline, requiring continual consumer engagement, broad and deep knowledge of technical products and platforms, business insight and ownership, and sophisticated product development skills including in-market customer discovery, analytics, business reporting, etc., to act as the true business and product owner and advocate of our Consumers. 


The PM is accountable for the product’s ability to bring business and financial benefits, and that it reflects the voice of our customers. The PM will collaborate closely with their Product Marketing Management peers across the globe to distill the set of needs across all countries and regions into an overall set of globally prioritized needs and opportunities for a consumer segment.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage backlog for design and engineering development team
  • Manage P2P partnerships with third party industry players; develop APIs with engineering partners based on market/partner needs.
  •  Champion compelling and multi-year vision aligned to business and product strategies
  • Define  the strategic direction for your product including key feature/functionality enhancement and forward looking roadmaps
  • Deliver key business performance, Customer adoption/usage, and satisfaction goals
  • Team up with Product Marketing, Launch, regional teams, etc., to define and execute commercialization strategies
  • Champion and co-lead in-market customer discovery and innovation

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management, or product development experience. Highly technical with proven ability to work with engineering delivery teams
  • Pervious experience managing API integrations with third-parties
  • Successful track record defining and delivering products driven by proactive customer research, including defining global needs, positioning, and go-to-market
  • Deep experience leading qualitative and quantitative research and Customer Driven Innovation/Discovery, and ability to leverage these inputs to translate customer needs into product strategies that have succeeded in the marketplace
  • Knowledgeable in new and evolving technology and trends driving payments and e-business innovations. Solid financial industry understanding
  • Highly curious and analytical disposition
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Effective communication and management style that can lead & influence at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree, EE or CS degree is a plus
  • Work experience in best-in-class global payments, consumer financial products, and/or e-commerce company desired
