PayPal is looking for a product manager with a strong technical background to create and own innovative and differentiating payment processing capabilities. PayPal is relied upon by millions of merchants and buyers from around the world to buy and sell, and this role will enhance their ability to do so successfully.

PayPal's Payments Product and Engineering (PPE) Card Platform team is seeking a Product Manager to drive the next generation of innovative and differentiating payment processing capabilities. Millions of customers and merchants rely on PayPal's card acceptance and processing platform to enable them to buy or sell across the globe. This role will be responsible for identifying solutions which enhance PayPal's availability to the ecosystem to efficiently and securely process payments in a scalable and flexible way around the world. This individual will create product solutions that will make PayPal the preferred way for merchants to be paid, while keeping the best customer experience for buyers in mind as well. This individual will execute by partnering with the technology teams to identify opportunities, execute implementation, optimize and scale the solutions globally, and actively manage the solutions on a day-to-day basis.

On any given day, you will:

- Meet with stakeholders to identify gaps, issues, or other opportunities and formulate plans to address them.

- Write product requirements and work with engineering teams to ensure that business needs are met.

- Analyze the performance of your product capabilities and measure that performance versus KPI's, and adjust and iterate improvements as needed.

- Prioritize the team's product development roadmap, taking a long term strategic approach while also being flexible enough to adjust on the fly to meet new or urgent business needs.

- Be resilient in the face of setbacks, always focusing on ultimately delivering the ultimate outcome.

- Communicate status and plans to senior leadership, then communicate it again.

- Be receptive to feedback and constructive criticism around the status of your product capabilities and adjust as needed.

Key accountabilities in summary:

• Accountable for the delivery and management of a product offerings improving PayPal's availability to the payments ecosystem, ensuring service expectations are met, focusing on improving coverage, enhancing decisioning, and sustainably controlling loss.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and engineering resources, as well as other BU's which are built on mutual trust.
• Manage monthly service reviews with leadership to review the service delivered and performance against KPI's.
• Support Incident and Problem Management and Group IT in major incidents, ensuring recovery of service and root cause is driven to completion.
• Maintain an awareness of business strategy and business strategy to specific systems under your accountability.
• Create and modify service documentation, to ensure common understanding of system and expected service levels.
• Liaise with Project Managers to ensure a smooth delivery into BAU for all projects impact on accountable systems.
• Accountable for the overall management and control of service improvement plans in relation to systems.
• Driving operational excellence and efficiencies within area.
