Job Responsibility PayPal Payments and Engineering team is looking for an experienced Product Owner for its payment platform. In this role, you will work with the team responsible for building, deploying and maintaining the PayPal’s payment platforms for the APAC region. The platform powers payments and experiences for PayPal's ecosystem of Consumers, Merchants and Developers. Product Owners partner with the Regional Product Manager to contribute to the development of the platform vision, strategy and roadmap and are responsible for timely execution.

Requirements

  • Support the execution of the overall payment strategy for the APAC region.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Product Managers and work with technical architects, engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that the product solution delivers against business objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the product/platform requirements and customer value to stakeholders, especially the delivery team.
  • Track platform KPI’s and work with Regional Product Managers to resolve issues.
  • Ensure customer stories are clearly articulated, customer problem statements are defined, concepts are prototyped and tested.
  • Maintain a backlog that reflects the priority of work, ensure user stories are provided for development and help to resolve product questions.
  • Participate in iteration, release and roadmap planning.
  • Participate in product demonstrations, retrospectives, product councils and other agile forums of communication.
  • Predefine acceptance criteria and accept completed development work.
  • Collaborate effectively with the delivery team, extended stakeholders and management, as needed.

Qualification:

  • Experience with a payment or software or technology company, preferably including Product Owner experience.
  • Is able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and to adapt to evolving business initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across a wide variety of domains and skills.
  • Has high energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills and is well organized.
  • Understanding of card network, emerging payments and building new technologies is desirable.
  • Prior experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Displays following core skills: detail-oriented, analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, product ownership/management, project management and execution, communication (written and oral) with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
