A day in your life as a Procurement Operation Analyst: Under the direction of the Procurement Operations Manager, this position is responsible for managing day to day operation of procurement activities for PayPal. Where applicable and appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Manage and oversee day to day purchasing activities in our global purchasing tools. This will include catalog management, contract compliance and working closely with buyers.
  • Assist Procure to Pay in managing projects, working in tandem with PayPal Vendor Risk Management & Sourcing department to maximize value while minimizing expense.  Drives technology adoption and changes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality.   
  • Manages Key Performance Indicators and monitors relevant productivity and operational metrics.  Provides recommendations and implements improvements as appropriate.
  • Partner with and provide management reporting oversight of assigned business units for analytics, reporting, and recommendations.
  • Identify training needs. Create and deliver training as needed.
  • Manage and support PayPal’s outsourced procurement operations agents.


  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience with responsibility for procurement operations and acquisitions, accounting/finance, P2P responsibilities or equivalent work experience.  
  • Proficient in catalog management and contract compliance
  • Background in in the field of buying

Technical Skills:  

  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or similar software.  
  • SAP Ariba knowledge required

Other Job Qualifications:  

  • Must possess strong knowledge of P2P systems, controls and processes.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to develop effective solutions that consider efficiency, internal controls, and impact to financial results. 
  • Able to work effectively with department staff, as well as those outside immediate area, including all levels of management.  
  • Must be analytical, detail oriented, organized, and independent. 

Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
