A typical day for the UKDEATCH Pricing & Strategic Finance Analyst will include:

Partnering with the Business Unit to make educated pricing decisions and supporting the growth of the business
Providing quantitative and qualitative analysis on new business opportunities and upsells
Improving business cases and/or build new models to support new initiatives
Supporting strategic pricing projects for the UK and DEATCH sub-regions
Providing structure, frameworks and guidelines on pricing topics
Aligning and improving processes to increase efficiency and foster faster decision making by benchmarking best practices across EMEA
Suggesting and implementing new ideas to positively impact pricing performance

What does Success Look Like?

  • You will have led and delivered EMEA-wide pricing projects which have a direct impact on PayPal’s business and financial success, by coordinating work with stakeholders in multiple teams and markets, and performing thorough financial analysis.
  • You will have engaged in multiple deal analysis and internal negotiations to support your market in their external merchant negotiations/renegotiations.
  • You will position yourself as your market’s subject matter expert in all things pricing and merchant profitability in the eyes of your stakeholders.
  • You will have contributed to improving the efficiency of internal processes by providing and implementing impactful process recommendations.
  • You are seen as a proactive and engaged individual by ensuring any issues identified are addressed and resolved involving necessary accountable stakeholders.
  • You have established trust with your stakeholders and they see you as a true partner and growth enabler.
  • You are an inclusive and a respected individual because of your collaboration with other PayPal employees on ideas for improvement, implementing strategy and plans and adjusting processes.
  • You are flexible and willing to take on any challenge in front of you or your team with a high level of passion and creativity

About You:  

  • 1 to 3 years work experience, preferably in high-growth, global e-commerce companies, consulting, investment banking, or private equity
  • Pricing and/or financial analysis experience
  • Successfully completed a Master degree in business administration, science, engineering or equivalent
  • Fluent in German and English
