This role will report into our PR & Communications Director – APAC & Emerging Markets, based in Singapore. Key responsibilities include heading up the communications initiatives in SEA; leading execution of consumer and merchant communications efforts across SEA and managing regional campaigns by providing leadership and guidance to the agency. The candidate should ideally have at least 6 years of working experience in external communications with strong English writing and outstanding content creation skills across earned and owned media. A candidate with experience working in a larger corporate environment, or with Fintech companies is preferred.

  • This role will lead the development and execution of integrated and strategic Consumer and Merchant communications programs that will move the needle with the target audience in the SEA region.  
  • This role needs to be a strong partner to our business leaders in SEA.
  • The role will be supported by a PR agency team and will need to demonstrate solid experience in working with PR agencies to deliver strong results.
  • The successful candidate will be a results-driven and solutions-oriented individual; a person who has can-do attitude, rises to the challenges and is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • This person must be a good team player, a strong collaborator, and able to drive things through in a highly disruptive industry.

  • Actively mine consumer and merchant stories and case studies in the SEA region
  • Think from a transmedia approach across owned, earned, social and influencer touch points to create an ecosystem of influence on the desired target audience. This includes media relations, industry advocates engagement, APAC social channels as well as leveraging global owned channels such as PayPal Stories, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Lead content development for toolkits, assets and press materials across multiple touch points.
  • Lead the agency execution and liaise with the agency team to ensure good storytelling results are achieved for each program and/or announcements.
  • Collaborate with the internal teams specifically GR, legal, IR and Infosec on the necessary alignment and approvals needed pre-roll out.
  • Play a supporting role in consolidating an overview of Consumer and Merchant communications plans across APAC with the objective of driving operational excellence, scalability and consistency.
  • Support the rollout of the APAC communications campaigns out of the Singapore hub.
