PayPal is actively seeking to hire a People Program Management Intern.
The internship is located in our PayPal San Jose office and provides a fantastic opportunity for a motivated self-starter to work with People Business Partners on programs designed to increase employee engagement.

This role will provide and hands-on experience delivering a program from inception to implementation.


  • You will look work with People Business Partners and business leaders to deliver a series of programs designed to increase employee engagement
  • You will design, develop, pilot, and roll-out programs to a group of 500 employees
  • You will help define how programs are launched and how feedback is collected and evaluated to help iterate on the programs
  • You will help define metrics and KPIs that will measure the success of our programs

Hands On

  • Develop a project management cadence and update plans and stakeholders regularly
  • Develop supporting story materials (presentations and other communication materials) that help promote the work of the team
  • Identify ways to navigate the team through challenges encountered during the projects
  • Support continual updates against documentation to ensure we have latest decisions and needs tracked
  • Support the program launch strategy.  Deliver and create end-user communications and training materials when necessary.
  • Define and operationalize the metrics to be used to measure success and support a reporting cadence to track progress based on these metrics.


Our ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem-solver with strong research, communication, organizational, and analytical skills. In addition, we are seeking:

  • Strong writing and editing abilities, with a high attention to detail.
  • A strong team orientation is critical based on the collaborative culture of the team.  

You have:

  • An energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver approach that can get things moving and keeps them on track. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
  • An understanding and appetite to learn about the opportunities and challenges in managing a portfolio of projects in an HR organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a team-oriented approach, and a desire to learn 
  • Candidate should be able to work 40 hours minimum per week
