Responsible for the support of Accounts Payable (AP) operations for the 2 China legal entities. Activities include the overview of the full cycle of AP process as well as Travel and Entertainment (T&E).

Responsible for the support of Accounts Payable (AP) operations for the 2 China legal entities. Activities include the overview of the full cycle of AP process as well as Travel and Entertainment (T&E):

  • Invoice receipt and verification with the tax authorities (fapiao)
  • Invoice and T&E claim filing and archival
  • Invoice posting overview including correct GST capture
  • Reconciliation of invoices posted vs invoices verified by tax authority (act as reviewer in Blackline reconciliation tool)
  • Vendor payment and subsequent vendor query management

Monitors the performance of the outsourcing team dedicated to China entities under a third party Business process outsourcing arrangement and acts as point of contact for escalations and a liaison with internal departments to improve customer service and resolve issues and concerns.

Provides interpretation and explanation to the outsourcing team on PayPal’s internal financial controls, ensuring that they are timely informed about and trained on policies and procedures, tax regulations, and related information.

Acts as the China Programme Administrator (PA) for the Citibank corporate credit card programme, revising card applications, credit limits, card terminations and handling related employee queries.  

Organises and holds trainings on all AP and T&E- related matters to the wider stakeholder group in China (business units, controllership team, FP&A team, etc.).  Drafts manuals on local practices.

Promotes continuous improvement of AP processes, manages country priorities and projects to implement global strategies regarding automation and streamlining of end to end flows.   

Assists the global process owner to revise, develop, and implement accounts payable policies and procedures by informing about China-specific regulatory and fiscal requirements.  

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by local controllership, in support of the mission of the global finance team.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years relevant accounts payable experience
Knowledge of accounting principles applicable to accounts payable
Demonstration of strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work collaboratively and function independently
Ability to build rapport with a team of internal stakeholders as well as virtual outsourcing and APAC staff
Knowledge of SAP AP modules and MS Excel
