Responsibilities & Skills

  • Focus on new merchants projected to process over $1 million annually
  • Secure new merchants through the alignment of their business needs to PayPal’s customized payment solutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and project manager to all merchants throughout the entire sales process
  • Aptitude to understand key business drivers and overcome merchant objections by effectively communication the PayPal value propositions
  • Create and communicate a vision of success for prospective merchants by challenging the status quo of the payments industry
  • Ability to influence and communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • Serve as a role model and potential peer mentor for sales representatives
  • Effectively manage a robust sales pipeline while developing a comprehensive strategy for long-term success.
  • High quality and quantity of outbound calls to pre-qualified prospective merchants on a daily basis
  • Communicate and articulate business results such as pipeline progress, daily activity, and projection of sales
  • Strong overall business acumen and ability to navigate potential complex and lengthy sales processes
  • Effectively communicate a high level of technical, e-commerce, and business acumen
  • Passion and drive for personal improvement/development
  • Drive to stay current on industry trends and changes
  • Open to receiving and providing coaching
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets
  • Strong competitive drive
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to pivot appropriately

Knowledge & Experience

  • BA from accredited university OR 5+ years of related experience
  • 6 months experience as a member of the Core sales team
  • Demonstrated self-directed, take-charge work ethic effectively delivering results and overcoming any potential internal or external obstacles
  • Must be quality and detailed oriented, yet understand the level of detail appropriate for each situation
  • Adept at recognizing and creating unique business insights that provide a competitive advantage for the team and company
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the internet, e-commerce, and suite of Microsoft Office products
