The Outbound Sales position plays a key role in meeting the new revenue and account generation goals of the NA Telesales team. It is responsible for acquiring new Canadian merchant accounts $100K - $20M annually and managing those relationships through the sales lifecycle. Outbound Sales Executives will be responsible for self-prospecting and networking to obtain their leads. The role reports to the Sr Manager of Outbound NA Telesales and interfaces heavily with PayPal Business Partners, Integration Engineers, Account Underwriting and Marketing.

  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly activity targets such as outbound calls, time spent on phone, number of account acquisitions and close rates.
  • Work the entire sales process from prospecting new leads to the activation of new accounts.
  • Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline of self-generated sales leads.
  • Attend trade show and industry events, as needed
  • Complete required SalesForce.com sales process and pipeline activity tracking with detail and accuracy.
  • Communicate appropriate product and technical information to prospective merchants and conduct follow-up according to department standards.
  • Identify sales trends, document prospect feedback and contribute constructive feedback to our internal partners regarding marketing, product and systems as necessary.
  • Research and keep educated about current market trends, opportunities and competition.
  • Maintain and promote a positive and professional attitude while building collaborative relationships among potential and existing internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Continue training and education to keep pace with product modifications, industry changes and sales knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a productive teamwork through positive attitude, being supportive in words and actions, embodying the core values of PayPal, and communicating professionally to co-workers, internal and external customers.
  • Exemplify job professionalism through exercising discretion and good judgment, while keeping company and customer information confidential.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for actions, using coaching and feedback to continually improve performance.

The successful candidate for this position will have all the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent sales experience within an inside sales organization.
  • Preferably 1+ years of PayPal sales experience or accredited financial institution
  • Proven ability to close large deals in excess of $2m annually.
  • No past Corrective Action (performance, behavior or attendance)
  • Demonstrated self-directed, take-charge work ethic effectively delivering results and overcoming any potential internal or external obstacles.
  • Acts with the customer in mind
  • Seeks feedback & accepts coaching without confrontation
  • Articulate internal and external communication skills.
  • Must be quality and detailed oriented, yet understand the level of detail appropriate for the situation.
  • Understanding of e-commerce
  • Fluent in French is highly preferred!
