PayPal's consumer wallet team is looking for a Web engineer in Bangalore to work on our next generation wallet experience capabilities stack We’re looking for strong JavaScript/React/Node skills and solid real-world experience. You will need to be able to architect & build solutions to problems with little guidance from others. As a Senior Web Development Engineer, you will work closely with Product Managers and your counterparts in other engineering disciplines to deliver scalable and extensible services that drive the user experience across a diverse range of new and existing global products.   • Leading the build and development of new user facing experiences.
  • Partner closely with cross functional partners in design and product.
  • Drive discussion and provide feedback on code and architecture.
  • Write and test web application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization & interaction.
  • Perform code reviews to drive teams to the highest standards.
  • Partner closely with design and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear functional specification.
  • Work with tooling and platform teams to provide innovation and solutions for analytics, experimentation and quality.
  • Deliver code in an Agile team environment.
  • Follow and be a strong advocate for clean code principles.
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of work experience in developing web applications.
  • Experience in building single page applications using React or other similar modern JavaScript libraries utilized for rendering both client side and server side. Experience in developing production Node.js applications (high volume preferred).
  • Strong CSS3 and component skills building.
  • Understanding of JavaScript application design and testing using frameworks.
  • Knowledge with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the Web.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and testing tools preferred.
  • A constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers within the team.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
