Senior engineer role for building enterprise wide content management backbone.

PayPal’s customer engagement group is setting up a new team in Bangalore to build out the backbone for PayPal wide content management needs. This team will transform the way content is authored, stored, transformed, delivered and personalized across all of PayPal experiences. This team will be empowered to drive the end to end program and would have full ownership of the product & technology roadmap. We are looking for people who are not only great at their individual craft (management, engineering etc) but also can lead an enterprise wide initiative from a remote location.

For MTS1 Software Engineer position, we look for engineers who can be tech leads for a domain and mentor a team of junior engineers. The current positions are for backend engineers (Core Java, RDBMS/NoSQL, Microservices) as well as frontend engineers (Node, React, HTML, CSS). Full stack engineers preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered via applications and services

• Mentor a team of junior engineers

• Collaborating with peers and seniors both within their team and across the organization

• Working with product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high quality solutions on time

• Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable

• Supporting your applications and/or services as and when required on a 24x7 basis

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in developing software; 1+ years in mentoring junior engineers.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Expertise in backend (Core Java, RDBMS/NoSQL, Microservices) or frontend (Node, React, HTML, CSS) technologies
