Responsible for the planning, implementation, and the highest level of support and troubleshooting for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for Windows and VMWare platforms. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and Operating Systems along with installation of new systems and hardware items.

Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.  Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and Operating Systems along with installation of new systems and hardware items.

Will act as a technical escalation point for operational troubleshooting issues and will provide guidance to junior staff members. Will assist with design and implementation of "best practices" for the Windows and VMWare environment. Will work with Engineering teams to implement new systems and architecture and create operational support processes.

Will be part of a regular on-call rotation that will require support availability outside of normal business hours.

•        5+ years of experience supporting an enterprise level Windows server environment

•        5+ years of experience supporting enterprise level virtualization environments

•        Expert level Windows server administration knowledge (Server 2008, Server 2012, Server 2016)

•        Expert level VMWare and ESX support, implementation, and troubleshooting knowledge

•        Expert level hardware knowledge of UCS blade systems and HP server hardware

•        Familiar with common networking and firewall standards

•        Familiar with common storage platforms and NAS/SAN configurations on server/virtual environments

•        Familiar with change management processes and philosophy

•        Experience working with geographically dispersed teams a plus.
